All Helmsman remote controllers are “full followup” type, that is, the rudder follows the position of the control lever. It’s like having the rudder in your hand.
Helmsman steering controls feature a distinct mid-ship detent for tactile feedback. They also feature a reversible handle position, and a reversible handle action, to suit each customer’s preference.
These controls are constructed entirely from noncorrosive materials and are fully submersible. A waterproof atmospheric vent prevents vacuum formation and “wicking” in event that the cable is accidentally damaged. The RTC15 is a versatile, compact, waterproof, unit having a tough polycarbonate enclosure and convenient mounting flange. The RTC20 is a heavy-duty polyester version with stainless steel piezo switches and flush mounted LED indicators.
